CDT-supported SD Board of Supervisor, Terra Lawson Remer introduced bill to make inmate phone calls free and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to make phone calls in county-run jails and juvenile detention facilities free.
CDT endorsed Assemblymembers Alex Lee, Lorena Gonzalez, and Luz Rivas, as well as Miguel Santiago, were joined by CFT President Jeff Freitas, Berkeley professor Emmanuel Saez, and entrepreneur, impact investor and CDT alum Joe Sanberg discussed a a plan that would tax extreme wealth in California.
