The race for State Senate District 23 between Republican Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh and Democrat Abigail Medina remains too close to call.

The seat is vacated by Senator Mike Morrell, who is termed out this year. The large district includes cities in both San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

In the nonpartisan primary for State Senate District 23 race, held on March 3, Medina and Bogh were the top two candidates, defeating Lloyd White, Cristina Puraci and Kris Goodfellow. In the March race, Medina held the highest percentage of the total votes, with 28.1 percent of the votes. Bogh trailed behind slightly, with 24.8 percent of the votes.
