“The California Donor Table, a fundraising group that focuses its political efforts on communities of color, said its proprietary polling shows a weak response among undecided voters to messaging that warns of threats to democracy. The group has poured $1.5 million into local organizations to support their efforts to connect with Democrats who infrequently vote and voters of color without party preferences.
In inland California, many people “aren’t really responding to the party-forward messaging positively,” said Michael Gomez Daly, the senior political strategist at the California Donor Table.”
